The house was originally founded as a venue in Næstved in 1973 and at the end of the same year the music association Vershuset was founded. In the first years, the Vershus had several different hangars in Næstved:
“Daghøjskolen”, Nordre Farimagsvej 16, where Sahva continues, and subsequently the Leisure Center on HC Andersensvej.
In August 1985, the Vershus moved into newly decorated premises at Grønnegade Kaserne, Grønnegade 10. (the room is decorated in the horse stable of the formerly now-protected Dragon Kaserne). And since most of the events have been settled here.
