Keith’s Blog 6/5

A weekend packed with Festivals and super human travel schedules.
This weekend we will be in Cheyenne, Wy and Irvine, CA. It’s not a typo. It’s just the rocking, sweating, drinking, flying, driving, sleeping (when you can) reality show that is The Young Dubs.

On Friday June 8th we play in Cheyenne at their Concerts in The Plaza series. We were delighted to see that it’s a co bill with The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. We have shared the stage with these guys before and believe me they are the real deal. Brilliant band. Young Dubs go on at 5.30pm, AND ITS FREE AND ALL AGES !!!! Then it’s a mad dash to the airport and back to Cali for The Big Irish Fair in Irvine. Although this festival has moved all around the Greater LA area over the years, we are hearing that this might be one of the best locations yet. This festival (when it was in Burbank) was the first one we ever played. For many years it was an annual event for us. Then we started touring more extensively and we missed quite a few of them. Two years ago the Founder Terry Anderson passed away and the event was thrown into disarray. This year it’s back and looking to return to its former glory.

There is loads to do and see for the whole family and on our stage it’s a major reunion. Joining us on both days will be The Fenians and the Ne’er Duwels. If you’re from Southern California then you are well familiar with the Fenians. The Ne’er Duwels may be new to you but it is made up of longtime friends of ours including the legendary Ken O’Malley and Brian Dobbs. Lots of other great bands on other stages too. We are in great company to get this festival relaunched and back on top. Bring the whole family. Dubs play two shows each day. Schedule for our stage is below.IRISH FAIR 2018 STAGE SCHEDULES
